Q. I have been told Hair Extensions are very expensive?
Celebrities and TV & Film Stars frequently pay $3500us to
$5500us for hair extensions. Depending on where you live, some service
providers in Australia & New Zealand have been know to charge $2000
to $3500.
At Bardot Beaute we have regular repeat clients coming from Tasmania,
Melbourne, Sydney, QLD, and New Zealand not only because they believe
that our technique is unique and worlds best practise but they can
travel to the Gold Coast, have a weekend or 2 night stay over, return
home and still not have experienced the high cost of having the service
done in their local area.
Although we charge a reasonable price for our service, we do not
overcharge like many of the other service providers who have been doing
extensions for less than 5 months.
Unfortunately, the saying "You get what you pay for"has no bearing when
it comes to hair extensions. Beware: there are unskilled applicators
entering the marketplace. Every day we recieve desperate pleas for help
from the unwary who risk serious consequences to their hair, self image
and self esteem.
Q. How do I know if I am a suited candidate for hair extensions?
A one on one consultation is required, however you could be a good
candidate provided you do not have alopecia or a history of any hair
disorders & not currently on medication which could be detramental
to your growing hair.
Q. Will the colour of the Hair Extensions be matched to my own hair?
Yes. With over 15 years experience, Bardot Beaute has a fool proof
procedure to insure a colour match to your full satisfaction.
Q. How long will my hair extensions last?
It all depends on how fast your hair grows. Generally, if you have slow
growing hair, extensions can last up to 6 months. If you have medium to
fast growing hair, extensions will last up to 4 months. The only reason
we say 4 to 6 months is because the extension joins start to become
visible and that is when it is time to take the extensions out and
re-apply.
Q. Can I re-use the extensions?
In most cases it is possible to re-use the majority of the hair
extensions. This is largely dependant on how well you follow the after
care instructions.
Q. Can I have the extensions permed if I want curly hair?
Yes. Although you must be aware this process is damaging to your growing hair as well. Further information is available.
Q. Will Bardot Beaute Hair Extensions damage my own hair?
No. The procedure we use is gentle, painless and totally risk free. We
have over 30 years experience ensuring clients keep their hair in good
condition. However, due to the popularity of hair extensions, we
recommend that you do your research. Don't be talked into any service
and always get several opinions and quotes before deciding who will
give you the best service and after sales support everyday thereafter.
Q. If my growing hair has previously been coloured, can I continue to re-colour my roots?
Yes. No problems as long as the normal procedure is followed.
Q. I have curly hair but I prefer to continually straighten my hair. Can I use a hair straightener on the extensions as well?
Yes. However, you must avoid touching the extension joins with any hot appliance. So make sure you avoid the joins.
Q.
What if I no longer want to continue having the extensions if my hair has grown to the desired length?
Make an appointment and we can remove the extensions for you, this service includes a nominal fee, however you should never attempt
to remove the extensions yourself. If you cannot attend Bardot Beaute's Botique, phone us and we can refer you to a service provider closer to your area.
Q.
How can I get some idea of how much my extensions will cost?
We can give you an approximate cost if you provide us with 4 photo's from the waist up (front view, left & right view and back view).
Your photos must be digital and show your existing hair, the volume of your hair and the various colours. Email us at contact@bardotbeaute.com.au and we will endevour to contact you within 24-48 hours.
Q.
Can I brush my hair with extensions in?
Absolutely, you are encouraged to use a "loop brush" which provides unique and ongoing benefits from your scalp to the ends, we recommend brushing several times a day.
Q.
Can I leave my hair to dry naturally after shampooing and conditioning?
You must diligently insure you hair is dried from your roots to below the joins, however, from below the joins to the ends can be left to dry naturally.
Always before lying down or going to bed you must insure your hair is thoroughly dry and either put into a plait, braid or pony tail.
This procedure will help prevent any tendancy of your hair getting tangled during sleeping periods.
Q.
Where does the hair for extensions come from?
The hair we use for our extensions is from the temples of India. There are several textures that match our client's perfectly and the hair has not previously been subjected to hair salon
practices or chemicals of any kind (virgin remi hair). Unlike India, Asian hair is unique and really only grows as one texture. Therefore, we get hair specifically from Asia for our Asian Clients..
Q.
How long does the procedure take?
It varies depending on the individual. If you have fine hair of medium density it takes appoximatelt 1.5 hours, however, if you have thicker hair it take up to 2 hours.
Q.
Will the extensions be obvious and unsightly?
At Bardot Beaute, our years of experience and procedure insures that the joins are secretely concealed.
Q.
Will the extensions damage my own hair?
No, properly attached extensions using our unique technique will not be harmful to your hair in any way.
Q.
